Challenge Events

Taking part in a challenge event is a great way to put yourself to the test and raise vital funds for YouthNet at the same time. From UK-based events like the Three Peaks Challenge, to treks along the Great Wall of China and beyond, YouthNet can create the perfect challenge for you.

YouthNet works in partnership with the UK's leading events organisers to offer you the best events in the UK and throughout the world. You can take part in a range of challenges for YouthNet, including:

UK-based

  • The Three Peaks Challenge – Scale the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in under 24 hours
  • The ToughNess Challenge - A 40 mile hike and a 30 mile bike along the Great Glen Way and around Loch Ness, Scotland.   This challenge is designed to test your endurance!
  • London to Paris – Cycle a gruelling 450 miles through fantastic British and French countryside, finishing in Paris
  • Scotland's Coast to Coast Eco Challenge – This amazing trek from the East to West Coast of Scotland winds through remote areas of the Highlands.

Overseas

  • Great Wall of China – Discover the Great Wall of China, trekking, cycling or running (!) along the vast and beautiful mountain ranges in China's northern frontier
  • Saigon to Angkor Wat Cycle Challenge – A 500km cycle challenge,  past plantations, across waterways and through villages deep in the heart of the lush Mekong Delta in Vietnam, to the dry lands and contrasting sights of ancient Cambodia
  • Everest Base Camp Challenge – An outstanding trek to the base camp of the world's highest mountain.

Going it alone or as part of a team?

If you're an individual wanting to go it alone, you can join an open challenge. These are challenges that are open to anyone – a chance to meet like-minded people and get away from it all.

Alternatively, if you and a group of friends or colleagues are looking for an adventure, we can offer you a bespoke challenge, whereby a trip is organised for your group only and is tailored to your needs.

Why we need your support

YouthNet gives hundreds of thousands of young people the information and support they need to make decisions and live their lives with confidence. But we can't do it on our own; we rely on our supporters to keep us going. YouthNet is a charity and it costs over £5.5m a year to run our services. That means we need all the help we can get – from people like you!
