Nominet Trust

YouthNet is grateful to the trustees of Nominet Trust for their generous support of LifeSupport: Young peoples needs in a digital age, an important research project examining the changing use of the internet by young people for social, health and information needs.

Nominet Trust is a newly-founded charitable organisation which supports education, research and development initiatives in the internet industry. The Trust has generously awarded YouthNet a grant of £49,200 to enable us to undertake this important project for TheSite.org. We are delighted the research is being led by Professor Michael Hulme, Director of the Social Futures Observatory, an independent 'Think Tank'.

The research will also help launch a three-year awareness and fundraising appeal for TheSite.org, helping us to completely redevelop the website and continue to provide the best possible online support for young people.

"We're thrilled that Nominet Trust is helping us with this project," says Martyn Lewis, CBE, founder and chairman of YouthNet. "It's a crucial piece of research to inform the way we redevelop TheSite.org to meet the needs of young people."
