Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales
YouthNet has a longstanding relationship with the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, one of our first financial supporters.
Our partnership
The Lloyds TSB Foundation first supported YouthNet when we were established over 14 years ago. The trustees have been both generous and flexible in their support of YouthNet over the years, formerly helping at both a national level with YouthNet's core costs and regionally with the upkeep of the internet kiosks we ran in local community centres and youth clubs up to 2004.
"Most recently the Foundation supported YouthNet in reaching and engaging people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups."
Most recently, the Foundation supported YouthNet in reaching and engaging people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups with volunteering information and opportunities. do-it.org.uk has already proved successful at reaching people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups, and the grant from Lloyds TSB Foundation helped YouthNet to understand the reasons for this success so that we can strengthen our relationship with potential and existing volunteers from these communities in the future.
"YouthNet is a dynamic and forward thinking charity." Damien Wilson, Lloyds TSB Foundation.
The Foundation is one of a growing number of forward-thinking funders in the UK, and also provides non-cash support to YouthNet, including volunteering support.

Damien Wilson, Grants Officer at the Foundation, is training to become an online peer advisor for askTheSite.
"I first got to know YouthNet through my role as a Grants Officer at the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales. The voluntary sector is a diverse and exciting environment to work in and YouthNet is a dynamic and forward thinking charity that has given me a chance to make my contribution to their work with young people as an online peer advisor. The Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales encouraged me to get involved and I have enjoyed every minute and am looking forward to the challenges ahead – thanks for this opportunity YouthNet."
