The John Ellerman Foundation
YouthNet is delighted to have received a grant of £60,000 from The John Ellerman Foundation towards our online agony aunt service askTheSite.
Specifically, this is to support our partnership with SANEline through which we provide tailored answered to young people's questions relating to mental health issues.
Over the past 12 months, YouthNet has provided bespoke answers to more than 7,500 individual questions to askTheSite on issues relating to general health, relationships, sexual health, work and study, legal rights, drugs, alcohol and money. Additionally, last year the online archive of previously answered questions received more than 90,000 visits per month.
It is only through our partnerships with expert advice providers such as SANEline that YouthNet can provide this free, unique, anonymous and extremely effective service for 16-24 year-olds. The support of The John Ellerman Foundation will ensure that we can continue to offer young people the information and support they need, when they need it most.
"Honestly it was the best help I have ever received on helping myself to figure out a problem," askTheSite user.
