The Joseph Levy Charitable Foundation supports charitable work that enables people to build better futures in their communities and to improve their quality of life.

The Foundation funded the management of YouthNet's askTheSite service with a grant of £98,400 over three years. askTheSite is a ground-breaking online advice service which enables young people to submit a question confidentially over the internet about any problem they are facing, and receive free, expert and tailored advice within three working days. To achieve this, we work in partnership with leaders in the information-provision field to answer diverse questions on topics of concern to young people. Our partners include Addaction, Brook, bss, CAB, Samaritans, SANEline and Shelter, as well as five expert Relationship Advisors.

With the Foundation's kind support, askTheSite has provided answers to thousands of individual questions about careers and study, general healthdrink and drugshousing, legal issues, mental and emotional health, money, relationships and sexual health, and published an archive of previously answered questions to provide expert support to even more young people in need.

"We are extremely grateful for the Foundation's generous and continued support towards our askTheSite project, giving us the capacity to develop the technology and partnership-working that is vital to its success," Claire Easterman, Operations Director.
