Reach more volunteers with do-it.org.uk service
Charities can now tell up to 240,000 more people about their volunteering opportunities thanks to a new email service launched by the UKs leading volunteering website, do-it.org.uk.
The new alerting service, funded by the Volunteering Hub, will mean that many of the 240,000 volunteers already registered on do-it.org.uk, plus around 9,000 who sign up each month, will hear about new opportunities as soon as they are posted to the site.
Fiona Dawe, Chief Executive of YouthNet, the charity that runs do-it.org.uk, says: "Even the most enthusiastic people can lose interest in volunteering if they aren't involved quickly enough.
"The alerting service means prospective volunteers will hear immediately about new opportunities that are specifically of interest to them, matching more people with their perfect volunteering opportunity, and further supporting do-it.org.uk's aim of connecting people, communities and organisations."
do-it.org.uk is the UK's leading volunteering website, providing a searchable database of over a million opportunities to volunteer in charities and organisations across the UK.
Charities wanting to publicise their opportunities with the new alerting service can visit www.do-it.org.uk/partners, email partnerships@youthnet.org or call YouthNet's Partnerships Team on 0207 250 5700.
