YouthNet spokespeople:
Fiona Dawe OBE, Chief Executive
Fiona was awarded an OBE for services to the voluntary sector in January 2003 and is a passionate advocate of volunteering. With extensive experience of working in the third sector as well as in private-sector marketing, Fiona believes the internet has enormous potential to provide a new generation of information, advice and support services, to reach and connect young people across the UK.
Claire Easterman, Operations Director
Claire oversees the frontline service provision of YouthNet ensuring that it provides young people with high-quality information, advice and guidance and ways to engage in their community, through its services. Claire's expertise lie in young people's use of the internet and the benefits it can bring to them.
Patrick Daniels, Head of User Involvement and Support
Patrick controls YouthNet's strategy for recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers and is responsible for direct advice, information and guidance through askTheSite, the confidential question and answer service for young people on TheSite.org. Patrick is also YouthNet's lead for safeguarding and is managing the 'Soundsystems' accreditation application to commence spring 2010.
Sarah Hooker, Development Director
Sarah's role involves Trusts, Lottery, Government Development and Senior Management responsibilities. Sarah's expertises include balancing the need to raise funds with being a youth-service provider, and maintaining and developing partnerships with corporate and government organisations.
